Ken Godfrey's segments relating to Freemasonry come immediately to mind. They not only misrepresent the nature of Freemasonry, but they contain Mormon historical inaccuracies, such as the claim that Joseph Smith only ever attended "three" lodge meetings. The available records indicate over thirty such instances. Unfortunately, like any other book, the Encyclopedia of Mormonism contains errors, particularly in regard to history. Since the <i>EoM</i> first appeared in 1990, I have hoped that it would replace older encyclopedic-style books on Mormon doctrine. Unfortunately the <i>EoM</i> is no longer in print, but the BYU PDF link is a great asset to the Saints' personal gospel study. This is excellent news, and I’m glad there’s a link to it on LDS.org.

Since the EoM first appeared in 1990, I have hoped that it would replace older encyclopedic-style books on Mormon doctrine. Unfortunately the EoM is no longer in print, but the BYU PDF link is a great asset to the Saints’ personal gospel study.
