Christ!!!

That certainly is a provocative quote. Where is it from? What is the context?

Mosiah 3:19 - submissivly yield to the enticings

While it’s interesting to hear it said and many in the world might embrace, it demonstrates a complete lack of understanding of the value of the Savior’s Atonement in ones life and all that entails.

Addendum: Apply this to the work Larry does. If the web content the church creates is well done, people will keep coming back for more. One of the most compelling sites for me is the Newsroom. I keep going back for more because it keeps changing. Since I’m a church news junkie of sorts, that is addictive content for me.

Some people are addicted to online forums for the same reason - they contain addictive content - social interaction with peers. As a ward clerk, the church has provided a forum for that in the LDS Tech forums. You can hang out there getting and giving answers until it almost becomes addictive content. Not that I do - that would be too geeky.

My son is representative on the youth that have grown up with the internet. He practicaly lives on forums. There are so many of our young people that get part of their social interaction in this way - commenting on various threads. In a sense, this is addictive content to them. I’m OK with that as long as it keeps them off the other addictive content offered on the web.

Much to think about. Thanks, Larry. Cheers.

Tim,

You got it right. I should have given more context. I’m talking about killer Web content. That’s what keeps people coming back to your site!

Alright, so I must be addicted. I am not sure how many times I have checked this website to see if there have been any updates.

I have been hoping that perhaps my addiction would decrease over time…but alas, I think I check this website more often now. Oh well. On to the next site!
